Tropical Island

Tropical Island was inspired by numerous trips to tropical locales such as Hawaii, the Southern United States (California, Arizona and Florida), the Caribbean and tropical Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia,  Thailand and Indonesia.  Reminiscent of the such hot and humid lifestyles, Tropical Island is an abstract piece focusing on the calm and relaxing environments with palm trees, coconuts and flamingos peacefully coexisting together on a warm sandy beach.

Concrete Forest

This is part one of our ongoing series – Carpe Diem in Hong Kong.

“Concrete Forest” is reminiscent of the architecture from 1960s to the 1970s in Hong Kong consisting of the typical concrete construction. To facilitate the growing economy and population, buildings had to erected quickly and efficiently. This photo was taken at Peking Road in the bustling Tsim Sha Tsui district in the Kowloon side of Hong Kong, where local and tourists gather in one of the busiest areas in Hong Kong.

The Blight of Overgrowth

Whatever the reason, here they sit, for the next ten, maybe even twenty or thirty years, before they actually get developed. This is the blight of overgrowth.
